India’s 24-year-old weightlifter Lovepreet Singh lifted a total of 355 kg in the men’s 109-kg final to bag a bronze medal at CWG 2022.
He also broke his own national record. Lovepreet lifted 163 kg in snatch and 192 kg in clean and jerk.
India have now won 14 medals at CWG 2022 so far, with nine coming from weightlifting.
