J&K, 3 August:Among the eight Union Territories of India, Jammu and Kashmir has figured at sixth position in NITI Aayog SDG India Index, reveals the economic survey 2021-22.

The figures were revealed by the Department of Economic Affairs Economic Division of Ministry of Finance, Government of India (GoI) wherein the performance of Union Territories (UTs) on the NITI Aayog Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) India Index 2020-21 and change in score from 2019-20 was revived.
while it was revealed in the survey  that Chandigarh  has retained  Ist position  amongst the UTs in  2020-21 with a score of 79 points and  Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, Delhi ranked second with a total score of 68 points.

“During this period, Pondicherry has made the highest gain with nine points in 2020-21, followed by Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh with seven points each,” it reads.
The Economic Survey of India is an annual document of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

The Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance presents the survey in the Parliament every year, just before the Union Budget and this  survey is prepared under the guidance of the Chief Economic Adviser of India.
