J&K, 1 August: Megha Rani has brought laurels to the UT by bagging this achievement and Megha who hails from Roopnagar, Jammu was quite active in extracurricular activities right from her school and college days and today she emerged as the first ever female coach in Kickboxing from J&K. She graduated from JKBOSE and went on to earn a degree in B. Tech from Punjab Technological University , while she constantly partcipated in various competitions and won gold medals at the district and state level and won a national silver medal in 2012.
As per the report, , Rani worked as an assistant coach with the World Association Kickboxing Organisation India before becoming a national referee in kickboxing, where she got an oppurtunity to gain good technical knowledge of penalities and scores of the sport. While between 2015 and 2018, she also served as a member in a NGO called ARADHANA-A RAY OF HOPE.
Besides these achievements, she is a licensed national assistant coach and a holder of Black Belt Grade 1 and in addition to that rani also did refereeship at Kolkata juniour and super juniour national level championships, the report said.
Surely, Rani has come a long way from bagging medals at district level to becoming the first female national referee in kickboxing from J&K, the report added.
