A special naka was conducted near Balidan Stamb area of bagh-e-bhau, Jammu under the supervision of SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Sikander Singh Chouhan, ASI Gurvinder Singh and other police officials , keeping in view the rampant cases of drug smuggling.
As per the report, during the police inspection at the naka point, a person named Arun Mehra s/o Madan Lal resident of sainik colony was detained by the local police on suspicion when he tried to escape the deployed police posse at the check point.
Later, when the police searched him they recuperate 7 grams of heroin from his possession and when he failed to provide any satisfactory answer for the narcotic substance recovered from him, then the local police registered him under relevant sections of NDPS Act in bagh-e-bhau police station at the scene.
