Kathua , 31 july: The lakhanpur police deployed at the Kathua-Punjab border seized around banned 400 bundles of Chinese manjas from a sleeper bus.
According to the report, a sleeper bus bearing registration number HR63D8237 was trafficking banned Chinese manjhas from Delhi to Jammu and got seized by the local Kathua police in a vehicle check when it arrived at the Lakhanpur border in Kathua, while in this connection the operator of the sleeper bus was arrested by the local police under relevant sections at the scene.

These days the lakhanpur Police department under the supervision of SSP kathua RC Kotwal is conducting special drives at the lakhanpur border to deflect such illegal smugglings in the J&K UT, the report said.
