Weightlifter Sanket Sargar opened India’s medal tally at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 after bagging a silver medal in the men’s 55-kg category.
The 21-year-old lifted a total of 248 kg, with 113 kg in snatch and 135 kg in clean and jerk. Malaysia’s Bin Kasdan Mohamad Aniq bagged gold medal in the event after lifting a total of 249 kg.
