Today, assessing the damage to the local Heritage Dogra Sadar Sabha President Gulchian Singh Charak expressed shock and concern over its dilapiated condition.
Speaking to the media DSS President Gulchian Singh Charak allegedly said that he is grieved to witness the glory of dogra heritage like various local forts slowly fading into a rubble which is supposed to be conserved for the future generations, to learn and seek something from it.
He further told that in the coming days as the nation is going to celebrate the 75th independence day here we are on the verge of loosing our historical sites ,monuments along with our dogra identity to oblivion, while such heritage sites are very well preserved and maintained in other countries but here we are the ones who are not paying any heed towards ours.

Moreover he said that now a conspiracy is being hatched to wipe out the dogra heritage and its existence from Jammu as no serious action is in execution to protect it from being extinct.
Lastly he said that nobody knows where the allotted funds went which was sanctioned for the renovation of the local heritage.
I will also visit and will appeal to LG Manoj Sinha to take cognisance of our historical monuments so that they can be preserved in time, he said.
