A burglar was arrested by Samba police who had stolen mobiles from a mobile phone shop at Main Chowk Samba. The police recovered nine mobile phones estimated to be valuing Rs. 2.20 lakhs from him.
Sandeep Kumar, the son of Ashok Kumar of Rakh AmbTali Samba, filed a complaint about the theft of mobile phones from his store “Meeran Communication” at Main Chowk, Samba, to the police today.
At PS Samba, a case FIR No. 113/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC was filed in this respect, and an inquiry was launched. Mohammad Rahmat Ali, the son of Mohammad Mathura, was apprehended by a police team from PS Samba in Jammu after laborious efforts and technical support. He was located in the current Lane No. 3 Bathindi. The suspect confessed theft commission after a lengthy interrogation and on his disclosure nine mobile phones worth Rs. 2.20 lacs approx. were recovered from him.
Inquiry is still going on in this matter.
