In order to evaluate the preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in the J&K UT, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today presided over a meeting of senior authorities in Srinagar.
Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, the chief secretary, R K Goyal, the Additional Chief Secretary for the Home Department, Dheeraj Gupta, the principal secretary for HUDD, Rohit Kansal, the principal secretary for Information and Higher Education Departments, Nitishwar Kumar, the Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, along with other senior administrative officers, Divisional Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners, participated in the meeting both in person and via video conferencing.
It was also disclosed that an action plan has been created to organise symposiums, debates, and essay contests on various subjects in schools and colleges to honour the spirit of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The Lt. Governor also issued directions for organising competition on national Anthem Singing and honouring the winners at District, Divisional and UT level functions of Independence Day celebrations.
The Lt Governor requested that the Secretary RDD procure at least 100,000 flags created by SHG members.
In addition to organising one week long Prabhat Pheri programmes involving students, NCC cadets, and NSS volunteers honouring the memory of heroes of our freedom struggle, the Lt. Governor also gave instructions for identifying the families and homes of freedom fighters where Police Bands will play music.
The home department would see to it that the tricolour is flown over all of the offices in its various wings, including all of the police stations. The Lt. Governor announced that Swachhata Abhiyan would be organised in all panchayats and urban areas.
Additionally, the Lt. Governor gave instructions for promoting and displaying the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga on all official websites and social media accounts.
Later, the Lt. Governor was also informed about the preparations and plans for the Har Ghar Trianga programme by the Deputy Commissioners of various districts.
