No state opposed the move to bring pre-packaged commodities under GST in the 47th GST Council meeting, a senior official present in the meeting said.
The Union Finance Minister is the Chairperson of the GST Council and states’ Finance Ministers are its members.
The rate rationalisations took place based on recommendations of a group of ministers (GoM), another official said.
