District police Doda today foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 13 animals with the arrest of six bovine smugglers.
In a statement issued by Doda Police, it was told that today on 17th of July,2022 in early hours, a Police party of Police Post Bhalla led by PSI Ankush Kumar Incharge Police Post Bhalla while on Naka/checking duties intercepted two Mahindra Bolero vehicles (Pickups ) bearing Reg. No JK 06 -B/ 2363 and JK 06- B/ 2509 driven by driver namely Faizan Hussain S/O Waseem Raja R/O Uagad, Tehsil & Distt Doda and Driver Sajad Ahmed S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Malwana Tehsil Gundana District Doda along with 04 other persons namely (1) Ashfaq Hussain S/O Mohd Rafiq R/O Ghuraka tehsil Bhalla (2) Waseem Akram S/O Abdul Rasheed R/O Ghurakha Bhaderwah (3) Mohd Rafait S/O Faqural-ul-Din R/O Ghuraka Bhaderwah and (4) Parveez Ahmed S/O Ghulam Mustfa R/O Ghuraka Bhaderwah were found carrying 13 Bovine animals in the aforesaid vehicles from Chakrabarti Bhalla towards Kashmir . On enquiry, none of them produced any permission of competent authority for the transportation of the Bovine Animals.
On this case FIR No 115/2022 under the relevant sections of law registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation has been started.
Mentionable here that under operation KAMDHENU, Doda Police has registered number of FIRs and have booked number of Bovine smugglers which also includes detention of notorious bovine smugglers under provisions Public safety Act.
