For the first time Rubaiya Sayeed made an appearance before the TADA court in Jammu on Friday in connection with her kidnapping in 1989 .
Rubaiya Sayeed, daughter of former Union Home Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed was summoned by the TADA court in Jammu on July 15 for recording her statement in a case related to her abduction back in 1989.

J&K separatist leader and chief of JKLF ( Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front) Yasin Malik is the main accused in the case.
As per advocate Monika Kohli , at the time of hearing , Rubaiya identified Yasin along with four others accused of abducting her .
Rubaiya is one of the prosecution witnesses in the case involving Malik and nine others against whom the court had framed charges in January last year, more than 31 years after her abduction.
The nine others include Ali Mohammad Mir, Mohammad Zaman Mir, Iqbal Ahmad Gandroo, Javed Ahmad Mir alias Nalka, Mohammad Rafiq Pahloo alias Nana Ji alias Saleem, Manzoor Ahmed Sofi, Wajahat Bashir, Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh and Showkat Ahmad Bakshi. Till now she has identified only four of them.
The CBI took over the probe in 1990 and after that it was brushed under the carpet. It was revived after Malik was held by the NIA in 2019 on charges of terror funding. The CBI moved an application summoning Rubaiya as she was listed as a prosecution witness.
The charges, which were framed last year, read that Rubaiya was wrongfully confined to secure release of five terrorists—Hamid Sheikh, Altaf Ahmed Bhat, Noor Mohd Kalwal, Javed Ahmed Zarger and Sher Khan of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, who were lodged in different jails.
Yasin , on Wednesday had sought physical appearance before TADA court during trial in this case and killing of four Indian Air Force personnel in Srinagar, saying that he will otherwise sit on an indefinite hunger strike.
The next hearing on this case is scheduled for August 23 .
