Keeping in view the rampant terrorism in J&K,  the Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday requested shopkeepers and tailors not to sell or stitch uniforms of Police and security forces to any civilians except those carrying valid identity cards.

In a tweet J&K police wrote, “In view of reported misuse, all Cloth/Garment sellers, Tailors etc. are requested not to sell Police/CAPF/army type uniform & camouflage pattern wear to any civilian. Further record to be maintained of all such sales even if they are made to police/CAPF/army(after seeing Identification Cards)”.

To keep in check the growing terrorism and to reduce the options exploited by the terrorists the local police department has issued this order for the local garment sellers and tailors.

The uniforms of the Security forces being the foremost requirement and the most exploited one used by them in breaching the security, it has been advised to all the garment sellers and tailors to adhere to this policy and implement the rule of no sale/no stitching security forces’ uniforms without valid ID card.
