Police arrested three narcotic smugglers with contraband of poppy straw in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said that three narcotic smugglers were arrested with 40 Kgs of Poppy Straw during a routine checking at Mansar Morh.
“Based on specific inputs, a truck was intercepted and during checking, 40-Kg of Poppy Straw concealed in the vehicle was seized,” police said.
They added that three persons identified as Anil Kumar of Barota Billawar, District Kathua, Deep Kumar of Prey Ramnagar, District Udhampur and Harjeet Singh of Abtal, Ramgarh District Samba were arrested on the spot.
A case under relevant sections was registered and investigation started.
