The electricity crisis has eventually resulted in water shortage . Farmers are hit the hard as this is the season for sowing a new crop but due to the unavailability of water they are unable to do so.

The protestors , while launching a scathing attack on the government administration said that the state machinery has completely failed to deliver to the promises made to them . They said , ” we are protesting since morning but till now no one cared to approach us and listen to our grievances . This is the sheer act of negligence on part of the administration.

“As the Amarnath Yatra is underway , J&K is witnessing a huge footfall of pilgrims these days . Langars are being organised at Gurudwaras and temples to feed the pilgrims coming after travelling long distances but this is very unfortunate that due to water crisis we are unable to provide them drinking water . If the situation continued to be like this what kind of message we will send to the people coming from different states ” ,one of the protestor said.

They said ,” We request LG sir to take note of the situation on the ground and question the PDD department on this crisis “.
