Today on the occasion of 121st anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Nehru Youth Kendra (NYK) volunteers organised blood donation camp at the Government Medical College, Kathua.

A seniour volunteer of NYK told that the volunteers organised a blood donation camp in which 16 volunteers participated and also ran an plantation and cleanliness drive at the village level to pay tribute to Dr Mukherjee’s contributions.

Ms Priya one of the volunteers said, “I am feeling elated to have donated blood for the first time and have decided I will donate it after every six months so that my blood can be used to save many precious lives.”

Moreover, a doctor told that 16 volunteers of NYK have participated in the blood donation camp and they have played a pivotal role in spreading a message to general public to follow the practice of donating blood.
