A raid was conducted at Balol Khad area of Bari Brahmana where illegal occupants have been living for a while now . During the raid ,
residents pelted stones at police Jeep , resulting in injuring two police personnel.

The Bari Brahmana police team of Samba police station along with SHO , Naib tehsildar and SIDCO manager raided the illegally occupied area of Balol Khad which originally belongs to the government and has been allocated to SIDCO for industrial purpose . The team served a seven day eviction notice to the encroachers and asked them to vacate the land before deadline after which a legal action will be taken against all the illegal occupants.
It has been reported that these encroachers are indulged in illegal activities like smuggling of drugs, bovine smuggling , snatching and other similar activities. Earlier also various notices were served to them but still they continue to illegally inhabit the state owned land . The notice served to them caused panic among the residents and they pelted stones at police jeep as a result of which two policemen have sustained injuries.
A manhunt is underway to locate the residents who attacked the police.
