Tightening its noose against drug smugglers Bari Brahmana police has arrested a man with 6 grams of heroin recovered from his possession.
The man is identified as Sunil Kumar alias Ali ,S/O Bhumesh Chander, resident of Bhatiyari village in Bishnah tehsil of Jammu district.
The Bari Brahmana police team of Samba police was on patrol that it grew suspicious of the accused and stopped him for checking . While checking , around 6 grams of heroin along with electronic weighing scale was aslo recovered from him possession.
The drug smuggler is booked under relevant sections of NDPS Act and is being investigated further to bust the larger network involved in the racket.
Various redzones have been identified in the Samba district where the smuggling of drugs , contraband and other illegal activities are carried out without any fear .
These traffickers are also involved in petty crimes such as snatching and robberies.
