The PHE daily wagers who have been protesting since June 22 in support of their demands have now decided to extend their strike for next 48 hours .

They are demanding their regularisation, implementation of the Minimum Wages Act in J&K, and release of pending wages in favour of the PHE daily wagers.
Hoshiyar Singh, one of the daily wager said ,” though we have concluded a meeting with DC Jammu in the morning today but we don’t see anything being done in our favour as the LG Administration is still turning a deaf ear to our long pending and genuine demands “.
He said , ” we urge all the PHE department daily wagers to come forward and join us in this protest “.
