In a shocking incident, a pickpocket stole 15,000 rupees from a devotee who came from Rajasthan to visit the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.

The incident happened when an old man from Rajasthan who was travelling with his family members in a local metador that a man who was standing behind him in the metador stealthily stole his purse which carried 15,000 rupees cash.
A local resident said, “ Such thefts with the tourists who are coming to Jammu is really sad. The local transport union must take notice of these activities, the local commuters should really help the victims on the spot as there can be chances that they might have seen the thief taking out the purse and everyday there are thefts which are being carried out in many areas of Jammu,the local police must take action on time”.
The local residents came forward and helped the victim by arranging some money for him.
