A big case of cyber fraud has appeared in which a woman was tricked by three men and a woman who identified themselves as solidiers from the Indian Army.

The incident happened when a woman namely Anuradha who is from ward no. 5 of Samba lost 2.19 lakh rupees from her bank account when she shared her OTP (one-time password) three times with the cyber scammers.
Anuradha said, “On 21st of June at 10:30 pm three men and a woman video called her son, who were wearing Indian army uniforms.
They told my son we are calling from keli mandi Samba and we want to place an order. They further said we want our order ready by 11am”.
“ Next day the fraudsters called again and told us that they want to pay their bill. I shared my ATM card number with them on the whatsapp, when my son told me that the customers don’t want to pay through google pay app.The cyber fraudsters kept me on call and asked for the OTP (one-time password number) sent to my mobile, I trusted them and shared the OTP thrice”.
“I aborted the call when I noticed deductions in lakhs are not stopping from my bank account it shocked me”, she added.
The victim has registered an FIR (first information report) in the Cyber cell police department Jammu.Further details on this incident are awaited.
