Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that there is a possibility that Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections can be held by the end of this year.
While speaking in Jammu, Singh said that there is a strong possibility that the electoral process will commence by the end of this year in J&K.
He said, recently, the delimitation exercise concluded in J&K. Now, Jammu will have 43 seats & Kashmir will have 47 seats in Vidhan Sabha.
“Our neighbouring country is sowing the seeds of hatred. There’s foreign conspiracy in recent targeted killings in J&K, we need to foil such attempts”, he said.
Singh said, “We won’t let the forceful migration happen of any person from any religion or section.”
Notably, Singh is in Jammu and Kashmir since yesterday for a two-day visit to the Union Territory.
