A theft case has been reported from Nangal area of Katra region. Cash and jewellery worth lakhs were stolen from a house when the family was away at their in-laws . Taking advantage of the situation some burglers broke into the house and stole cash , gold jewellery and other articles worth lakhs.

” We left our home to pay a visit to our in-laws place which is nearby , at around 8 pm and came back at 11. The room where the theft happened is situated upstairs and we usually keep the room locked as we stay at the ground floor . The theft came to light the next morning when my daughter informed me that the room is unlocked and everything is lying scattered ” , house mistress said . Her husband is a mason and works hard day and night to earn a good living for his family. But unfortunately this incident took away his hard earned money .
A complaint has been registered in this case . Katra police is probing the matter.
