Amid persistent heatwave, parts of Jammu and Kashmir witness a rainfall on Thursday evening, bringing much needed relief to people.

The Meteorological Department (MeT) had predicted scattered rainfall with thunderstorm in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir for the next few days, bringing some respite from the heatwave.

Director MeT Sonum Lotus had said that there is a possibility of three-day wet spell in J-K from 16 June.

“Expect good rain during 16th AN to 18th June in J-K and at scattered places of Ladakh,” Lotus had tweeted.
