As countries across the globe observed World Blood Donars Day on June 14 , a blood donation camp was organised at Government Medical College Kathua to mark the same.

The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kathua , Rahul Pandey.
Indian Red Cross Society in collaboration with JK Blood Donars Welfare Society and several other organisations organised this camp at the hospital premises.
“Blood is essential and life-saving , healthy individuals should come forward and donate blood. Many myths and misconceptions about blood donation should be burst with facts by awareness. I am glad to witness the active participation of youth whenever such events are organised. We can save many lives when we have all types of blood in our blood banks” , Rahul Pandey said.
