According to police, ₹3.98 lakh cash was burnt during an attempt to steal money from an ATM in Pimpri Chinchwad on Sunday.
Police added that the accused tried to cut open the ATM machine using a gas cutter. However, the machine caught fire and the money inside it was burnt.
Two CCTV cameras and some furniture were also damaged.
