Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi, Rajesh Gupta along with his team conducted an extensive check from Arnas-Kanthan and Khouri route.
During the inspection, the ARTO enquired from the passengers about the fare being charged. He also assured the public that strict action, as per the norms of the Motor Vehicles Act, will be initiated against the offenders.
During the extensive checking, the team challaned 04 Vehicles without HSRP, 01 without PUCC, 10 for fitment of HSRP and various violations and recovered an amount of Rs 2500 as fine on spot.
The ARTO sensitised drivers about Motor Vehicle Act norms and appealed them to follow the traffic rules to ensure their safety as well as the safety of the others.
