Stating that the Jammu and Kashmir Police force from last over three decades has been facing multiple challenges successfully, the Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh on Thursday hoped that these officers (newly-recruited) would shoulder the greater responsibilities of the force with enhanced dedication.
The Police Chief was addressing attestation-cum-passing out Parade of probationary Dy. Superintendents of Police 15th batch and probationary Sub Inspectors 25th batch at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was the chief guest on the occasion and took the salute at march past from the passing out trainee officers and inspected the parade.
“After taking the oath, the 91 officers became part of a huge Police Pariwar with great responsibility on their shoulders,” he said and added, “I had the opportunity to meet these officers a couple of times and was overwhelmed to see training standards and enthusiasm of the batch and they are ready to take on every challenge on the professional front.”
He emphasized upon probationary officers to remember and act on each word of the oath taken while extending services to the people and the nation.
Appreciating the courage and will shown by female officers during the training, the DGP hoped that they will equally prove their mettle professionally while shouldering all responsibilities on ground.
“The glorious history and bravery of J&K Police force is not only acknowledged within the country but across the world and added that Jammu and Kashmir Police was honoured with the Presidential Colour for its passionate contribution,” he expressed.
Singh said that he is proud of the fact that J&K Police force has received every prestigious medal of the country including Ashoka Chakra and added that the force has yet again received the highest number of Gallantry Medals this year among all armed forces.
