Today an awareness drive was organised by FSSAI department in Katra region of J&K.

As a part of the drive a team of Food and Drug Department ( FDA) paid a market visit to all the dry fruit shops in the area and checked the adultered prasad being sold to the pilgrims.
The inspecting team was led by SDM Katra who said that the drive is being organised on the directions of district administration . He said that the department used to recieve a number of complaints regarding the contaminated prasad , specifically the walnut was sold without segregation in the Katra market.
He added that the department will organise more such drives in the future to keep an eye on those selling adultered prasad.
