A man who was accused of rape charges was released by the court due to the failure of police to file a challan against him.
Mohammad Sikander who was arrested by the local police after a complaint was filed against him by a women hailing from Kunjwani area of Jammu region. Women alleged that she had been raped by a man named Moh. Sikander . The incident happened when she along with her kids was alone at her home and suddenly a man barged into the house, dragged the women to her room and locked the door .
An FIR was registered at the local police of Gangyal after which the accused was arrested but soon after his arrest he was released by the local court without giving any strong evidence of his release. The victim demands for justice and stern action against the accused.
