NSS volunteers of GDC Kathua organised an awareness campaign on the occassion of “World No Tobacco Day “.

The World No Tobacco Day is observed around the world every year on May 31 .
NSS volunteers of Govt Degree College Kathua raised awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco. Two events were held in the college premises on this day : Poster making competition and a signature campaign where volunteers urged the students and teachers to take an oath that they will never consume tobacco in any form ever as it can lead to serious health concerns.

College principal Professor Sumnesh Jasrotia hailed the efforts of the volunteers in raising awareness on such a crucial concern he said that the consumption of any form of tobacco leads to lung cancer , Asthma , and various other respiratory diseases hence we must refrain from its consumption for the better of all .
