BJP Jammu & Kashmir concluded its 2-day State Working Committee by holding day long meeting at Swargiya Rishi Kumar Koushal Sabhagaar in Katra.
J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina, National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, Union MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma (former President), BJP Seh-Prabhari Ashish Sood, former State Presidents Dr. Nirmal Singh (former Dy. CM), Ashok Khajuria, Shamsher Singh Manhas(former MP) & Sat Sharma, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul and other senior leaders inaugurated the meeting with lighting of traditional lamp.
BJP State Office Bearers, Morcha Presidents, Executive Body, Special Invitees, Department Incharges, Cell Convenors, former MLAs, former MLCs, DDC Chairpersons, DDC Vice-Chairpersons, BDC Chairpersons and other senior party leaders participated in the meeting.
Ravinder Raina in his Presidential address thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unprecedented growth and development in Jammu & Kashmir and said that the region is witnessing major development   under direct observation of our hardworking PM. He also thanked party activists for their dedicated efforts in making BJP as a reckoning force.
”Congress, NC, PDP are rejected by the people and BJP will form the next government in J&K with absolute majority”, said Ravinder Raina.
Raina said that parties like NC, PDP and Congress never wished to strengthen the democracy here. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Union government ensured grass root level democracy in J&K by holding elections to all the institutions coming under 3 tier democracy. He said that Modi government has worked on principle of ”Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwaas”. He enumerated various public welfare schemes like PMAY, Swacch Bharat, e Shram cards, Pension schemes etc and their direct welfare benefits to the needy population.
Dr. Jitendra Singh spoke on the 8 years of good governance by the PM Modi led government at the Centre. He said that Modi government is dedicated to the needy and the unprivileged classes. Modi govt focussed on major reforms in governance which pave way to social reforms and doing away of many unwanted practices. He also spoke on Suraksha, Suvidha aur Samman especially focussed on women folk.
Ashish Sood spoke on extending party activities among the masses and shared strategies for the same. He laid emphasis on the importance of holding party programmes in the masses. He said that every party activist is responsible to represent party policies to the masses.
Ashok Koul discussed the organizational matters to strengthen the party in all Mandals up to booths. He also discussed the details of forthcoming party programmes and asked all the leaders to ensure party programmes with involvement of ground activists.
Sunil Sharma gave detailed information on the programmes to be covered in the Pakhwada on 8 years of ”Sewa Sushasan aur Gareeb Kalyan”. He explained that how party leaders can reach up to every household during Pakhwada.
Sat Sharma presented statement on party’s vision and commitment for stronger and youth friendly employment policy. He also said that BJP is committed for the rights of Displaced, minimum wages and other burning social issues.
Priya Sethi read the statement on achievements of last 8 years of Union government led by PM Modi. She also spoke on Delimitation, VDC etc and said that Modi govt has reformed Dynastic politics to politics of Development.
RS Pathania, Former MLA & Spokesperson read out statement on  ‘PRESENT POLITICAL SITUATION & SECURITY CONCERN’. He explained that due to tightened noose on terrorism and hawala conduits, a new module of ‘hybrid warfare’ has been devised out by across the border. We should focus on invoking civil society of JK  and shrinking political space for fundamentalism, regionalism and hatred.
Rekha Mahajan presented report on the ‘Man Ki Baat’ programmes being held in the J&K.
Parneesh Mahajan presented report on training workshops being held in Jammu and Kashmir.
Party’s District Presidents from all BJP’s organizational Districts of J&K and Morcha State Presidents presented the reporting of various organizational activities done by their respective teams.
PM’s AIR programme ”Man Ki Baat” was also listened by the party leaders during the meeting.
Earlier, Meeting began with the lighting of Traditional Lamp and recitation of an organisational Song by Manjeet Razdan and Vande Mataram by Dr. Pardeep Mahotra.
General Secretary Dr. Devinder Manyal conducted the proceedings of the meeting and also presented Note of thanks.
Vice President Pawan Khajuria read the condolence note to pay tributes to all the party leaders and others who lost their lives in recent months. Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta read the minutes of the last meeting. Welcome address was given by District President Sheel Magotra.
