A 40-year-old man, accused of raping his stepdaughter, died in police custody in Delhi. Denying allegations of custodial assault, the police said that the man was beaten up by the locals before he was arrested and that might have caused his death. The police said they took the man to the lock-up only after the doctors had discharged him.
