Rajbagh police station under district Kathua celebrated Thaana diwas on May 26, in pursuance to an initiative of Government of J&K. Jammu and Kashmir Police organises weekly “Thana Diwas” meetings in all the police districts of Jammu province to address the public issues pertaining to basic amenities .

Weekly “Thana Diwas” provides opportunity to highlight specific issues for early redressal. Community participation holds key to raise and resolve issues. The senior officers organizing meetings with the public in their respective jurisdictions to address the public grievances. Celebrating the Thana Diwas is aimed at redressing the public grievances and providing the police services to the masses at their door steps to strengthen grassroot Police-Public bonds.
These meetings were organised in all the Police establishments throughout all the districts of Jammu province.
