National Conference Sarpanch was among three arrested with contraband substances in the Dadina area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Official sources told that three persons were arrested with 350 tablets of Alprazolam and Heroin substances by a police party of Budgam headed by inspector Mehboob during a Naka checking at Dadina on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

They identified the arrested persons as Suja Abbas, son of Ghulam Hyder Malik, resident of Waterwani, the sarpanch of National Conference, Shahid Ali Rather, son of Ali Mohammad, resident of Khumani Chowk and Barkat Ali Allaie, son of Ghulam Hussain, resident of Labertal Budgam.

A police officer confirmed the incident and said that a case under FIR No. 130/22 under section 8/21-22 NDPS act was registered at police station Budgam and further investigations have been set into motion.
