Kathua Police, under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, has solved a robbery case by arresting 02 robbers and recovered stolen items, 03 mobile phones along with 01 Pistol, 01 Magzine, 04 Live Rounds and 01 Sharp Edge Weapon from the offenders in the limits of P/S Hiranagar.

On dated 02.05.2022, A case was registered at PS Hiranagar on the complainant’s complaint, namely Nirdosh Verma S/o Sh. Lal Man R/o Gurha Mundian Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua in connection with a theft in his shop (Vishwakarma Jewellery Shop) for which a case vide FIR No. 55/2022 U/S 392/452/447/323/34/IPC, 3/25, 4/24 Arms Act has been registered at PS Hiranagar.

As per the complainant, at about 1720 hours 04, unknown persons in two Motorcycles, one bearing Reg. No. PB02CM-1023 and other unknown registration numbers with a pistol and sharp edge weapon came inside the shop, robbed 02 boxes with 1.5kg Silver ornaments and 01 Samsung mobile phone, and fled away.

Acting on the same on 03.05.2022 police party of PS Hiranagar led by Insp. Sumit Sharma SHO PS Hiranagar, under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Today, Pankaj Soodan-JKPS succeeded in arresting two robbers near Tarnah Nallah Dyalachak who evaded their arrest.

During sustained questioning, both of the accused confessed their involvement and on their search following items viz. 01 magazine and 04 live rounds were recovered from the one accused, namely Inderjeet Singh @ Prince S/o Gurdeep Singh R/o Baaz Wali Kothi, Manj Road Amritsar and 01 sharp Edged weapons (iron toka) has been recovered from the possession of other accused namely Vishal Singh S/o Satnam Singh R/o Balmiki Mahla, Majitha Amritsar along with 03 mobile phones including stolen mobiles were also recovered by a said team in the above-said case whereas search of other two absconded accused as well as further investigation of the case is going on.

Thereafter two persons were arrested, and one motorbike was seized, whereas their involvement in any other case cannot be ruled out.
