Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta called on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray here on Sunday and discussed unprecedented development and public welfare initiatives undertaken by the BJP Government in J&K.

In a threadbare discussion between two stalwart leaders, the developing political scenario in the UT of J&K remained at the core as Kavinder Gupta divulged the vibrant steps taken by PM Narendra Modi led Government in ensuring colossal development, peace and prosperity besides allowing people belonging to all shades of life to live in the UT with dignity and pride.

The senior BJP functionary also detailed the MNS chief about the progress made by the newly carved out UT after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019. He said that PM Modi had removed all the earlier bottlenecks hindering the region’s development and being misused by some of the ‘shrewd’ politicians to hoodwink the common masses. He also told Raj about the initiatives being taken under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi for bringing investment to bolster the economy and create job avenues in the UT. Besides, Kavinder also informed the MNS leader about improvements in the security scenario and the BJP government’s initiatives in boosting tourism in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

Upon this, Raj Thackeray appreciated the Modi Government for bringing normalcy and investments to the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir. He endorsed the policy adopted by PM Modi in J&K to change the course of life of people towards betterment.

Kavinder invited Raj Thackeray to visit Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory to see the sea change in the region to compare it with the situation he saw during his last visit.

Raj Thackeray assured Kavinder Gupta that soon he would pay a visit to Jammu and Kashmir and take first-hand account of the situation besides enjoying the splendid beauty of paradise on earth.

Raj Thackeray also assured Kavinder that he would try his best to bring investment in the tourism sector of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that he would ask big-wigs of Maharashtra to visit Jammu and Kashmir and explore opportunities to invest and flourish businesses out there.
