A soldier was detained at the Srinagar International Airport on Monday. The jawan was going to his home on leave when the security personnel checked his luggage on reaching the airport, a hand grenade was recovered from his luggage. Police have taken him into custody. How this grenade came in his luggage is being questioned. The arrested army personnel are posted in the 42RR Battalion.

According to the information received from the police, some army personnel reached Srinagar airport in the morning to leave for their home on leave.
