The police have launched a search for a man who allegedly forced his wife to burn camphor on her hand in a “fidelity test” in Veerenahalli village in Karnataka’s Kolar. The police were informed about the matter after the head of an NGO got involved. The wife reportedly had not complained due to fear of retribution from her husband.
