Several female workers staged a protest in Bari Brahmana region of Jammu as they were fired from job without any prior notice.
These women used to work in a factory. Their salary was delayed by six months and when they asked the employer for the pending salary he expelled these women without providing any valid grounds of removal . Some of them were working in the factory for ten years while there was one woman who had come from another state in search of work here to earn a living for her children.
The women lamented the careless attitude of factory owners towards them and demand to get back to work again as most of them are the only breadwinner of their families. They even warn of taking their protest to a higher level if their demands will go unheard.
