Along with surging mercury levels the unprecedented power cuts has added to the misery of people in J&K . Agitated over the continuous power crisis congress party workers staged a protest in the city where they raised slogans against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party for being incapable of resolving this stranded issue.
One of the party workers said that J&K is witnessing 8-10 hours long power cuts he said it had never happened earlier and on the top of it people are complelled to pay hefty electricity bills . The situation is getting worse with each passing day but there is no one to lend an ear to common people ‘s concerns. He added that the entire power system of the region has collapsed and there is an urgent need to restore the same.
