A wreath-laying ceremony was held on Friday for ASI SP Patel of CISF, who was killed during an encounter with militants in the Sunjwan area of Jammu.
According to a statement issued by police, “To pay honour and respect to martyr ASI SP Patel of CISF who attained martyrdom in a terror attack at Sunjwan in the wee hours of today, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Jammu this afternoon.”
The statement reads, “DGP J&K, Sh. Dilbag Singh , ADGP Jammu Zone, Shri.Mukesh Singh and other Senior Civil, Police officers and Security forces laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains & paid rich tributes to the martyr for the supreme sacrifice made in the line of duty.”
“We pay our rich tributes to the martyr for his supreme sacrifice made in the line of duty and stand by his family at this crucial juncture.
Earlier, Two terrorists were neutralised by security forces during an encounter in the wee hours on Friday in Jammu’s Sunjwan area.
Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of the Jammu zone, said that one security force, a jawan, had been killed, and four others were injured in the encounter in the Sunjwan area of Jammu on Friday.
