The spirit of animal smugglers has become so high that they attack those who oppose it. A similar case came up in the RS Pura area on Wednesday night. Some smugglers attacked the people when they stopped smuggling the animals secretly. Four youths were seriously injured in this attack. Among the injured are Sachin Sharma, Sunny Sharma and Amit Kumar, residents of Badiyal Brahmana and Devraj of Ward 8 RSpura. All were referred to GMC after giving first aid.
The police took the truck driver, and one of his accomplices into custody and the four injured youths were rushed to the RSpura sub-district hospital with the help of the police. There they were given first aid. After that, all were sent to Jammu Medical College Hospital Jammu. The police seized eight cattle being smuggled in the truck and handed them over to the village people for care. The truck was seized on the spot.
Later the villagers of the area reached that place. The commotion went on for a long time. People said that cattle smuggling is going on continuously during the night. The police station in charge, Jaipal Sharma, said that he took further action after registering the truck driver in custody in the animal smuggling case. Strict action will be taken against such elements.
