Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar, said that two Pakistani militants were killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in the Beshembar Nagar area of Srinagar on Sunday.
Kashmir Police tweeted while quoting IGP Kashmir, “02 #Pakistani #terrorists involved in a recent #terror attack on CRPF Personnel, neutralised in #Srinagar #Encounter. Arms & ammunition, other incriminating materials recovered.”

Meanwhile, Srinagar Police tweeted, “On Basis of input generated by Srinagar Police, Two Pakistani Terrorists of LeT killed in an encounter with Srinagar Police & CRPF. Both were directly involved in the attack on CRPF personnel in Maisuma Area on 4th April 2022.”
Kashmir Police tweeted, “#SrinagarEncounterUpdate: 01 more #terrorist killed (total 02). Search going on. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPoliIG”
Earlier, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said one of the killed militants was involved in a recent attack on CRPF personnel.
It is pertinent to mention that a CRPF trooper was killed, while another was injured in a militant attack in the Maisuma area of Srinagar on 4th April 2022.
