According to our executive, the Zojila road always remains under the limelight. In past years the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir comes to open the road but this time there has been a lot of confusion. Recently when DGBRO visited the zojila road he told the media that we have opened the road but the road wasn’t opened. Today Small cars like passenger vehicles were taken towards Drass through the road for trials. The vehicles were escorted by DSP Ganderbal. Once the trails get successful then only the road will be open for proper vehicular movement and there are chances that by tomorrow morning the road will be opened. Every year the road gets open by 15 April and this year also 4 days have been added in the opening of the road.

As per the satellite images, the deployment during the winters was very less but the permanent accommodation built on North of Aksai Chin and Rudo in Tibet’s Ladakh frontier has made an alarming situation.

The news came out on the day when Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message of sympathy to Indian PM Narendra Modi over the Covid-19 deaths in the country. As per the passengers, more than 20 people sat together in a restaurant at a time. “What social distancing do you expect at a clustered place? Police tells to sit inside the vehicles due to the curfew. How are we supposed to follow it in a car?” they said

The travellers blamed the ‘failed Administration’ for their miserable conditions. According to them, people with sources were allowed to travel while the others were left unnoticed.

“No basic facilities are provided us, not even accommodation. We are sleeping in the vehicles. A notice about our travel towards Ladakh was issued for today which isn’t being followed.
