New Delhi , Jan 18 : India’s Union Budget for 2026-27 will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 11 a.m., marking the first time the annual budget will be tabled on a Sunday.
The Budget Session of Parliament will begin on January 28, 2026, with the President’s address to both Houses. This will be followed by the presentation of the Economic Survey on January 30, outlining the state of the economy and key policy challenges.
The session will be held in two phases and will continue until April 2, 2026. The upcoming budget is expected to focus on economic growth, strengthening self-reliance, boosting infrastructure, and supporting key sectors of the economy amid evolving domestic and global conditions.
