State Cancer Institute wILL take two more years to serve people of Jammu region as Covid-19 slow down the pace of work. This was disclosed by HoD, Oncology Department, Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital while talking to JK Newspoint.
He further told, “Earlier we were excepting the work of State Cancer Institute to be completed in next year but the Worldwide pandemic, Covid-19 has wasted around six months and delayed the work by two years.
He added, “Over 120 crore would be spent on the State Cancer Institute and now we are happy to say that we are already started purchasing the equipment and after the building become operational, it will be installed as soon as earliest.
He told, “Institute would be packed with all facilities and equipment which will be helpful for the masses of Jammu and they will not suffer to go for the treatment outside the state.
