Srinagar, Dec 19: Major transfers and postings of IAS officers are likely in Jammu and Kashmir before the New Year, sources said. The reshuffle is expected to include officers at the secretary and deputy commissioner levels, with changes also anticipated due to retirements and deputations of senior officials.
According to sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs is set to finalise the transfer and deputation orders shortly. The exercise is aimed at ensuring smooth administration and timely filling of key positions ahead of the new year.
Officials said strategic postings in important departments are likely to be prioritised as part of the reshuffle, with deputation of some IAS officers also on the cards.
