Srinagar , Jan 9 : The Kashmir Valley is experiencing a severe cold wave, with temperatures dropping below zero across the region. The extreme cold has caused rivers and water reservoirs to begin freezing.
A striking example is the lake at the Botanical Garden in Srinagar, where ice has formed over the surface, creating a picturesque scene. Experts and locals attribute the gradual freezing of lakes to the lack of rainfall and snowfall this season.
Tourists visiting the area said they had never witnessed such a captivating natural environment before. The frozen lakes, still air, and white, wintry landscape are creating a unique and serene atmosphere, with many describing it as a natural paradise.
