With Hospital’ s Negligence A Mother Loses Her Unborn Child
Sad news coming from SMGS Hospital, Shalamar where a woman has lost her unborn child and the family is alleging that they’ve lost their child due to the hospital’s negligence.
While talking to the media a family member said “today morning around 12:30 we arrived at the hospital. The lady is my sister who has arrived from Punjab. Earlier also she has come here for a check-up. Today, she has come for the check-up and during the check-up, the doctor asked her that they have to immediately operate on her, but before the operation, she has to undergo a RAT test. When she went for the test the doctors there told her that they will start the test at 2 pm but they did the test at 2:30 pm and that too when we insisted. After getting the negative report we went to the operation theatre. At the operation theatre, the doctor asked us that first, they have to prepare the file. To complete the file they took around 2 hours. The pulse rate of the unborn child at 12:30 was around 126 and before the operation, they tore the report and again did an ultrasound and that pulse rate was the same. Then they refused to operate and eventually the child died inside the womb. Still, they are not operating. My sister is also in a critical situation.”
‘We are working on wards, soon Jammu city will get sanitised’: Chander Mohan Gupta
In surge of covid-19 cases, the lockdown in Jammu city has been extended by the Government. Other than taking precautions, the Jammu Municipal Corporation is carrying out sanitisation drive across Jammu city.
“As MHA guidelines, our priority for the sanitisation is the micro containment zones, then houses and lanes where people test positive. After that markets like Warehouse and Kanak Mandi that are open these days. We sanitise places where footfall is more like ATMs and vegetable markets.” JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta said
“We are working on the wards right now. 3 wards per day is currently in progress and we aim at sanitising all 75 wards which constitutes the Jammu city, in next 10-15 days. I appreciate our cleaners who are always on time and work appropriately with us.” He added
Gupta appreciated the Police Department and NGOs to help in controlling the covid cases. “I thank every team be it Police, healthcare workers, Paramedical staff or the Political workers for working towards the goal. We have Mata’s blessings on us and soon we’ll be out of this pandemic.”
Mayor said that no tunnels have been included in the drive guidelines for now but will be sanitised if the MHA considers it.
“I suggest everyone to maintain social distancing, wear masks and follow all covid protocols. It is a tough time for us but we need to come together and help those who work for humanity.”
